These terms apply to customers who browse, register or buy on BIGBRANDS. BIGBRANDS is a South African marketplace connecting customers with independent vendors. Vendor applicants and vendors are also subject to the Vendor Terms & Conditions.
BIGBRANDS operates an online marketplace connecting customers with independent, local sellers. Products are listed, priced, and fulfilled by the sellers themselves; BIGBRANDS facilitates discovery, checkout, payment, delivery coordination, and customer support.
Keep your login details confidential and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use. You are responsible for information submitted through your account where it is reasonably within your control. Provide accurate contact, payment and delivery information and keep it current.
A checkout order is an offer to buy at the price, delivery charge and applicable taxes shown in South African Rand. Payment is handled by our payment provider. After payment is confirmed, the relevant vendor receives the order for fulfilment.
Vendors control their listings, stock and prices subject to marketplace rules. Availability, price or listing errors can occur; where an order cannot be fulfilled, we will contact you and provide the appropriate cancellation or refund remedy. A multi-vendor basket may create separate vendor parcels, delivery events and refunds.
Our Return Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy form part of the customer process and explain item-level requests, inspection and refunds. They do not limit mandatory rights under applicable South African law.
Delivery estimates are estimates unless we expressly agree otherwise. Please provide a deliverable address and cooperate with reasonable delivery arrangements. Delays, failed deliveries, missing products or damage should be reported to BIGBRANDS promptly so we can investigate with the relevant vendor and delivery partner.
Promotions and coupons are subject to the terms displayed with the offer, including eligibility, availability, dates and vendor restrictions. They may not be exchanged for cash unless required by law, transferred, manipulated or used fraudulently.
Do not misuse the marketplace, create false accounts, submit fraudulent orders, abuse returns, interfere with the site, scrape content unlawfully, or use BIGBRANDS for an unlawful purpose. We may investigate and suspend or terminate accounts where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable law.
Reviews and other customer content must be genuine, lawful and respectful. By submitting it, you permit BIGBRANDS to display it in connection with the marketplace. The BIGBRANDS name, logo and site design are protected; product content remains the responsibility of the relevant vendor. Do not copy or use protected material without permission.
BIGBRANDS facilitates discovery, checkout, payment, delivery coordination and customer support. Vendors remain responsible for their products, listing accuracy and fulfilment. BIGBRANDS will handle complaints fairly and coordinate a practical resolution, but nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal information. We may update these terms by publishing a new version and, where appropriate, notifying registered customers. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights that had already accrued.
These terms are governed by South African law. Nothing in them is intended to conflict with mandatory consumer, electronic-commerce, privacy or other applicable law.
