BIGBRANDS is a South African e-commerce and dropshipping platform working to connect local suppliers, online sellers and customers through a more accessible digital marketplace.
Who we are
BIGBRANDS is a South African commerce company focused on making local products more accessible online. We bring together the shops, wholesalers and makers who already serve their communities and give them a simple way to reach customers beyond their physical storefront.
We started in Gauteng — in and around Johannesburg — because it's where our team is closest to the suppliers we want to support. Our goal is a marketplace that feels local, practical and trustworthy for the businesses on both sides of every sale.
The problem we're solving
Many local suppliers carry strong products but have limited time, tools or reach to sell online and find new customers.
Aspiring online sellers and resellers often can't easily find reliable local suppliers to stock and sell from.
BIGBRANDS exists to close that gap — connecting the two sides through one accessible platform.

Our current journey
BIGBRANDS is actively developing its supplier network and running an initial marketplace pilot. We're prioritising a small number of reliable supplier partnerships and getting the experience right, rather than onboarding at scale.
We're an early-stage platform. We don't yet operate a large nationwide supplier network or national fulfilment infrastructure — and we'd rather tell you that plainly.
